I live in South Africa, an awesome place that I love :D.
I'm currently studying 3D animation (3dsmax and Maya)

I think I might want to be a producer... producers seem to make money... I like money. I could buy the whole collection of Naruto manga AND dvds. :squee: the possibilities.....

At the moment however I'm at the bottom of the ladder, waitressing and such (never be mean to waitresses.... your food and drinks are not safe......)

I decided 7 years ago I would go to Japan. I'm still gonna go goddamnit!!!!! On holiday, on work, I dont care. I just wanna go. Badly. I will get there! 'pats self on the back'

wow.... I'm motivating myself by writing about it on the internet.... is that safe these days?

I'm 20 (sob ancient)

I do Taekwando and kick things for fun :D

:D listening to a Japanese basic learning audio tape thing :D so boring!! I learnt how to say wakarimasu in like 500 trillion ways :p so now no matter what i'll be able to say to everyone 'watashi wa nihongo ga scoshi wakarimasu

Lets see.

Phone - depends on how much you will use it, but its easy to acquire one.
Electricity - from ¥1500- 3000 I think.
Water & Gas - ¥3000~4000 but is paid for every 2 months
Internet - awesome and super fast around ¥3000 - 4000
Rent - This is the tricky one hey. Thing is here in Japan the rooms are TINY! compared to what we are used to In S.A. Rent can also be ridiculous. For Example where most of my friends stay at, they pay around ¥60,000 yen but honestly I think its not worth it. The rooms there are too cramped, and its just not nice. I bet I could find you waaaay better accommodation.

Food- Food is pricey, cant help that. But I reckon you can live from ¥20,000 ~ 30,000 (maybe 15,000)
But I heard some people can survive on a lot less, if you don't mind eating Cup Noodles everyday.
It might seem like a nice source of food, however it gets to you lol, you get tired of eating it trust me.

So overall.
I love Japan claire really.
Never bored, never miss home (S.A)
Got everything I need close by, everything is convenient and works.
Basically no crime, and people know how to have fun.

that sounds reasonable... i could definetly do that! i jst need a plce to work now! and to overcome the language barrier! I'm gonna try my best to find an animation job or something! (i think working in a cosplay cafe would be the most awesome thing tho :p) I wanna be there! now!!! i'm gonna make ots of moneyz in the next few months hopefully, and that should get me going! where do you stay? tokyo? kyoto?

Its good to hear that japan lives up to expectations, it sounds like a dream! I want to be there now.

it is my pleaure:D

I know... due to the fact im in college, its only the final project that really gets rendered out... so at the moment, most of my work consists of semi proficient rigs and half done models :p but i will upload more at some point!!!
